Món Orxata has collaborated in the idea and the setting up of the horchata and tigernut museum in the farm of Magistre (XIth century).
Located in Alboraya, the farm of Magistre (XIth century) surrounded by orchards and fields of ecological tigernut just 5 minutes away from Valencia, constitutes a dazzling architectural testimony of the Valencian orchards and reflection of the way of life of its inhabitants throughout the centuries.
In an exercise of preservation for Alboraya's cultural, agricultural, architectural and gastronomic memory, the museum was opened for all to understand the golden history of the Valencian orchards.
In the Tigernut Museum you will understand the meaning of this tradition, and learn how the orgeat is elaborated, how the tiger nut is cultivated, how it is commercialized and how it was commercialized at the beginning of 20th century.
Finally, in the zone of the old animal drinking trough, a Museum of the Orchard, filled with old objects related to Valencian agriculture has been set up, where you will be able to learn more about the agricultural traditional methods, you will be surprised by the tools that our ancestors used in the Valencian orchards.
