Organic Farming is an agricultural system that seeks to produce maximum quality food: quality in terms of organoleptic characteristics, healthiness and the production process, without producing toxic waste, respecting the environment and preserving the fertility of the land by making optimum use of natural resources and avoiding the use of chemical products.

This means using nature without breaking its biological cycle and taking from the land what it has to give without overexploiting it through the use of substances that pollute the land and are harmful to the farmer and the consumer’s health.

What is more, Fair Trade respects fundamental rights, guaranteeing decent salaries for smallholders and helping us to secure their future as farmers. To achieve this it is essential to protect l´Horta, the horticultural land around Valencia, from urban speculation and from the lack of takeovers between one generation and the next in rural areas.

We firmly believe that the best way to protect this area is to demonstrate its economic viability, as well as conveying its cultural, agricultural, historical and environmental values.
