That's why, with the order of September 25, 1995, the Council of Agriculture and Environment, approved the Regulation of the 'Denomination of Origin for the Tiger nut of Valencia and its Regulatory Council.

This Council guards over the quality of it, in all its phases and puts its stamp of guarantee so the consumer of orgeat knows when he sees the emblem of the Regulatory Council, the orgeat has been elaborated with authentic Tiger nut of Valencia and that it fulfils the quality parameters demanded.

It is necessary to clarify that to have the stamp of Denomination of Origin of Tiger nut of Valencia does not always mean that the elaborated orgeat is natural / artisan. Industrial orgeat exists with denomination of origin which characteristics as a product are very different to the artisan fresh orgeat.

But a denomination of origin is always a quality guarantee, as much for artisan products, like for the industrial derivatives, and the Regulating Council of the Denomination of Origin Chufa of Valencia is responsible for this quality control.
